PINCH SKG
Located in the heart of downtown Thessaloniki (Greece), Pinch is a vibrant breakfast, brunch and lunch spot that redefines the conventional eatery experience. Specializing in peinirli (peynirli pide) dough with a contemporary twist, Pinch offers a variety of innovative dough applications and fillings, catering to a modern urban palate. The design intent for Pinch was to create an inviting urban pop aesthetic within a compact space, seamlessly blending the sales and preparation areas to enhance the customer experience.
The primary goal of the interior design was to craft a dynamic and energetic environment that reflects the brand’s playful and creative approach to food, and its lifestyle positioning. Given the limited space, the layout needed to accommodate both the kitchen operations and a busy entryway efficiently. Despite the compact size, the layout is planned to ensure a smooth flow of operations: front and back of house areas are seamlessly integrated, moving the trays through windowed slots, allowing staff to move efficiently between tasks while providing visibility and transparency to visitors and customers. The design approach for Pinch is characterized by a bold and youthful energy, perfectly suited to its location and target demographic. The urban pop aesthetic is more than just a style choice; it’s an extension of Pinch’s brand philosophy, celebrating creativity, interaction, and culinary exploration.
